From attending a showcase to implementing a bunch of new artwork, models, assets, and more, this month of Schism’s development has been very busy! Let’s get right into it!Â
Schism is a fantasy narrative game where you play as a double agent between a break-off religious sect and an inquisition. Where you collect insights from solving puzzles, reading between the lines of documents, and talking to the right people. Use your insights to craft reports you send to both sides, allowing you to influence the start of an inevitable religious conflict to be either more bloody or more peaceful.Â
Demo Coming out in August!
We are pleased to announce that in August, you will be able to play through the first act of Schism! You will establish contact with the inquisition and mount the campaign against them alongside the break-off sect! Be sure to click on the link below to wishlist it:
A Ton of Brand New Content!
We’ve been developing the two levels and putting in a ton of assets into the Steam demo, including new animations, models, backgrounds, artwork, and much more. Take a small look at what we have been doing so far:

One of the biggest changes we’ve done over the last month, though, has been the complete redesign of Doliturnes room. We’ve updated just about all of the textur
es of where you will sow the seeds of the inevitable religious conflict to make it more moody. Take a look at it here:

Showcasing our August Demo!
If you were at the Fredericksburg Game Developers Showcase, you got to see these images in the alpha build of our demo! We want to thank everyone who came to play our games and those who specifically came out to play our game! We were astounded that you showed up just to specifically play our game and we wholeheartedly appreciate your support and feedback!Â

It is always wonderful to show up in person, see everyone become totally immersed in the world that we are creating, and get fully engaged with what we have been creating!
Looking ahead, we are going to be working upon our demo, trailer, and laying down the groundwork for our Kickstarter campaign! This includes further fleshing out the narrative content, implementing the valuable feedback we’ve received, and more!Â

Thank you once again for your reading and your support for Schism!
